mk/KLm - project leader
The group mk has developed over the years an inquiry into the ambiguity of bodily states and their alterations, through different formats and collaborations; it is now considered as one of the liveliest research ensemble of the Italian scene, with performances in many countries, as Indonesia, USA, Japan, Peru, Germany, France, Hungary, Spain, Portugal and so on. The choreographer Michele Di Stefano received the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2014 and is actually the dance curator for the national theatre Teatro di Roma.
Il gruppo mk dal 2000 sviluppa una ricerca sull’ambiguità degli stati del fisico e delle sue alterazioni, attraverso formati differenti e collaborazioni; si tratta di uno degli ensemble di sperimentazione più vivaci della scena italiana, con esibizioni delle proprie performance in diversi Paesi, come Indonesia, Stati Uniti, Giappone, Perù, Germania, Francia, Ungheria, Spagna, Portogallo, e altri. Il coreografo Michele Di Stefano ha ricevuto in premio nel 2014 il Leone D’Argento della Biennale di Venezia ed è attualmente curatore dell’ambito danza per il Teatro di Roma.
Chiasma
Chiasma is a dance production organization based in Rome recognized by MiC, created and directed by Salvo Lombardo. Chiasma develops projects in between dance, theater, visual and video art, presented in many theatres and festivals in Italy and abroad. Since 2018 Chiasma supports the work of choreographers Valentina Pagliarani and Fabritia D’Intino and since 2021 is articulating a program of interactions between artists including also Daria Greco and Marta Olivieri. In 2019 Chiasma creates Resurface – Festival di sguardi post coloniali with Roots Agency (Roma).
Chiasma è un organismo di produzione della danza riconosciuto dal MiC, fondato e diretto da Salvo Lombardo. I progetti di Chiasma si muovono tra danza, teatro e arti visive e sono ospitati da molti teatri e festival in Italia e all’estero. Dal 2018 Chiasma sostiene la ricerca delle coreografe Valentina Pagliarani e Fabritia D’Intino e dal 2021 articola un programma di interazioni tra artistə includendo anche il lavoro di Daria Greco e Marta Olivieri. Nel 2019 fonda Resurface – Festival di sguardi post coloniali con Roots Agency (Roma).
Spellbound
Spellbound Contemporary Ballet, founded in 1994, was created to be able to give space to projects that organise and produce live shows mostly specialising in the field of dance at an international level. Their projects have from the start been involved both in activities connected with the field of education and in artistic collaborations in curating programs for programming and planning festivals and seasonal events. Spellbound’s activities, besides those of the resident choreographer Mauro Astolfi, also embrace a series of special projects with other artists and institutions on international scale. Spellbound productions are yearly supported by the MIC , the Region of Lazio cultural department and constantly by various Italian Cultural Institites to improve the international touring which is the core of the activity.
Spellbound Contemporary Ballet, fondato nel 1994, dà spazio a progetti di organizzazione e produzione di spettacoli dal vivo, specializzandosi principalmente nell’ambito della danza contemporanea presentata a livello internazionale. I progetti di Spellbound coinvolgono sin dall’inizio anche l’ambito della formazione e spaziano in varie collaborazioni artistiche legate a festival ed eventi. Le attività, accanto a quelle del coreografo residente Mauro Astolfi, abbracciano una serie di progetti speciali che coinvolgono artisti e istituzioni differenti su scala internazionale. Le attività di produzione sono inoltre supportate annualmente dal MIC oltre che dal fondo spettacolo dal vivo della Regione Lazio e di consueto sono inserite nei programmi di sostegno di numerosi Istituti Italiani di Cultura nel mondo a supporto delle attività di diffusione internazionale che sono il cuore della progettualità.
TIR Danza
TIR Danza is a production organization operating in the field of contemporary and experimental dance. Its main activity concern the support of choreographers, helping them to spread the value of their identity and of their creations. It’s particularly interested in investing on experimental realities that grow up within the most advanced forms of choreographic research. TIR Danza unfolds its creativity through the cooperation of different expertise and professional experiences of the artistic directors Fabio Acca, Massimo Carosi and Pietro Mazzotta.
TIR Danza è un organismo di produzione che opera nel campo della danza contemporanea d’autore e di ricerca, attraverso azioni di accompagnamento e sostegno ad artisti coreografi, valorizzandone le identità e le creazioni. TIR Danza sviluppa la propria progettualità grazie ad un assetto collegiale, mettendo a sistema le differenti competenze ed esperienze professionali dei componenti la direzione artistica, Fabio Acca, Massimo Carosi e Pietro Mazzotta.
VAN
VAN is a dance production organization supporting, producing and distributing the shows and projects of 8 artists and artists: the founders Marco D’Agostin, Francesca Foscarini and Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin together with Andrea Costanzo Martini, Camilla Monga, Irene Russolillo, Enrico Ticconi e Ginevra Panzetti. They all share the impetus towards the renewal of language and the contamination of creative processes, positioning in a panorama of international circulation.
VAN è un organismo di produzione della danza finanziato dal MiC. Sostiene, produce e distribuisce gli spettacoli e i progetti di 8 artisti e artiste: i fondatori Marco D’Agostin, Francesca Foscarini e Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin assieme a Andrea Costanzo Martini, Camilla Monga, Irene Russolillo, Enrico Ticconi e Ginevra Panzetti. Tutte/i le/gli artiste/i VAN condividono la generazione d’appartenenza, lo slancio verso il rinnovamento del linguaggio e la contaminazione dei processi creativi, il posizionamento in un panorama di circuitazione internazionale.
Be Festival
Be Festival is an annual festival that takes place every summer in the city of Birmingham. Since 2010, it has programmed short pieces from companies based in Europe, giving visibility to the new scene in the UK, organising a week in which International artists and local communities can meet and establish relationships. We aim to create opportunities for artists and arts professionals, providing space, resources and time, enabling individuals and communities to thrive through experience.
Il Be Festival si svolge ogni estate nella città di Birmingham. Dal 2010 inserisce in programma brevi performance di compagnie europee, dando così visibilità alla nuova scena teatrale britannica, creando le condizioni per uno scambio settimanale tra artist_ internazional_ e le comunità locali. Il nostro obiettivo è creare opportunità per artist_ e professionalità del settore, offrendo loro spazi, risorse e tempo, permettendo così agli individui e alla comunità di vivere un’esperienza di crescita.
SAT! / Dansat Festival
The SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre is a theatre in Barcelona specialising in both theatre for family/school audiences and contemporary dance. In 2015 the SAT! created the Aliansat!, a project wherein 6 artists are invited collaborate over 2 years. and present new works supported in the creative process both by the theatre and by residency in other institutions in Sant Andreu facilitated by the SAT! The project also seeks to create interrelationships between the artists through workshops and meetings to interchange both artistic and administrative practice and technique.
Il SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre di Barcellona è specializzato nel teatro per l’audience di famiglie/scuole e per la danza contemporanea. Nel 2015 il SAT! ha creato Aliansat!, un progetto in cui 6 artist_ ricevono l’invito a collaborare per 2 anni, e presentare degli assoli originali, supportati nel processo dal teatro stesso e da residenze presso varie istituzioni di Sant Andreu. Il progetto mira inoltre a creare interrelazioni tra artist_ attraverso l’organizzazione di workshop e incontri, per favorire lo scambio di pratiche artistiche e organizzative.
Ehrenfeldstudios e.V.
Ehrenfeldstudios e.V. are a non profit association that do work for the visibility of the performing arts – especially dance – in Cologne’s colourful quarter Ehrenfeld. The artistic focus is the interdisciplinary and intergenerational work in the fields dance, performance and contemporary circus. Ehrenfeldstudios e.V. are intergenerational, interdisciplinary and inclusive, representing a meeting place for a young and multicultural audience.
Ehrenfeldstudios e.V. è un’organizzazione no-profit che agisce per dare visibilità alle arti performative, in particolare la danza, nel colorato quartiere Ehrenfeld di Colonia. Il focus artistico si sofferma sul lavoro interdisciplinare e intergenerazionale nel campo della danza, della performance e del circo contemporaneo. Gli Ehrenfeldstudios e.V. sono uno spazio intergenerazionale, interdisciplinare e inclusivo, che rappresenta un punto d’incontro per un pubblico giovane e multiculturale.
Herengracht 401
H401 is a private foundation located in the Herengracht building of late artist Gisèle d’Ailly. It is a place where research, art and dialogue come together to investigate the human condition with all its contradictions. The central question is how we as a society, organizations and individuals with layered pasts want to deal with the present and the future. We do this in collaboration with local and international partner institutions, with artists, thinkers, scholars and scientists. Academic and artistic research at H401 goes hand in hand with performative and participatory research – with residences, exhibitions, events, think tanks and publications.
H401 è una fondazione privata con sede in un palazzo dell’artista Gisèle d’Ailly sul canale Herengracht di Amsterdam. Si tratta di un luogo dove la ricerca, l’arte e il dialogo si uniscono per investigare la condizione umana in tutte le sue contraddizioni. La questione centrale riguarda la nostra azione come società, organizzazioni e individui, con un passato stratificato, e come affrontare il presente e il futuro. Collabora con realtà locali e istituzioni, artist_, studios_ e scienziat_. La ricerca artistica che avviene a H401 si connette con la sfera performativa e partecipativa, attraverso residenze, esposizioni, eventi, gruppi di discussione e pubblicazioni.
Klap
KLAP Maison pour la danse, inaugurated in October 2011, is a project initiated by the choreographer Michel Kelemenis. Its fundamental principle is to put creation at the center of every action. Kelemenis & cie welcome emerging artists or confirmed, local, european and international companies. Together, they bring the place to life and nourish its activity with the diversity of their experiences and esthetics. It’ s a permanent and referent place for the art of dance, a space of work, sharing, practice and sensitisation to the art.
KLAP Maison pour la danse, inaugurata nell’ottobre 2011, è un progetto inziato dal coreografo Michel Kelemenis. Il suo obiettivo primario è di porre la creazione al centro di ogni azione. Kelemenis e la sua compagnia accolgono artist_ emergenti o affermat_, compagnie locali, europee o internazionali. Insieme, danno vita al luogo che le accoglie, nutrendolo con i differenti linguaggi nati dalle singole esperienze ed estetiche. Si tratta di uno spazio permanente di riferimento per la danza: un luogo di lavoro, condivisione, pratica e sensibilizzazione per la danza.
La Fabriks (LFKs)
LFKs is a collective of 10 people, born in Marseille in the beginning of the 90s, following an invitation by Jean Michel Bruyère. It’s a gender equal, international and multigenerational collective; adding up, a large number of young people from the neightborhood Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, partecipating in the project SUP de SUB, joins the group’s activities. LFKs focuses both on creation of contemporary performances and on social implications of artistic research.
LFKs è un collettivo di 10 persone nato a Marsiglia all’inizio degli anni ’90, grazie a un invito di Jean Michel Bruyère. Si tratta di un collettivo egalitario per genere, internazionale e multigenerazionale; oltre ai suoi membri ordinari, si aggiunge nella creazione delle attività il grande numero di giovani, provenienti dal quartiere Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, che partecipano al progetto SUP de SUB. Il lavoro di LFKs si concentra contemporaneamente sulla creazione di performance contemporanee e sull’impatto sociale della ricerca artistica.
Schaubühne
Schaubühne Lindenfels is a space for production and performance in Leipzig based on an interdisciplinary concept. The main focus of the program is theater, dance, performance, and cinema, which are complemented by music, literature, new media and the fine arts. Our numerous events dealing with current issues – be that through topical series, themed weeks, retrospectives, thematic evenings or festivals – have become a special trademark. At these events, many approaches are explored, sometimes provocatively.
Schaubühne Lindenfels è uno spazio dedicato alla produzione e all’esibizione performativa a Lipsia, con alla base un orientamento interdisciplinare. Il programma si focalizza principalmente su teatro, danza, performance e cinema, accompagnati da musica, letteratura, nuovi media e belle arti. I nostri eventi dialogano con i temi attuali, attraverso rassegne, tematiche settimanali, retrospettive, serate a tema o festival, e sono aperti all’esplorazione di approcci diversi e talvolta provocatori.
Théâtre Sévelin 36
Founded in 1995 by Philippe Saire, the Théâtre Sévelin 36 – managed by the association Un lieu pour la danse – aims at the development and the recognition of contemporary dance within the local, Swiss and international cultural landscape. Being at the beginning exclusively the place of permanent residency of the Compagnie Philippe Saire, the theater quickly developed activities to promote contemporary dance in general.
Fondato nel 1955 da Philippe Saire, il Théâtre Sévelin 36 – gestito dall’associazione Un lieu pour la danse – si impegna nello sviluppo e nell’ottenere riconoscimento per la danza contemporanea in Svizzera e internazionalmente. All’inizio luogo di residenza permanente della Compagnie Philippe Saire, il teatro è divenuto presto luogo di promozione della danza contemporanea in senso ampio.
Tipperary Dance
As an artist-led, non-profit organisation, Tipperary Dance acts as an international creative space that engages with artists and citizens while building and providing infrastructure(s) for the art form of dance. It encapsulates the prolific range of activities undertaken by Jazmín Chiodi and Alexandre Iseli since 2008, when they founded Tipperary Dance Platform. The rebranding, under the new direction of Alexandre Iseli, aims to enfold their decades-long experience as artists, managers and curators, while staying true to the core values of care, understanding, integrity, tenacity and generosity of spirit.
Tipperary Dance, organizzazione no-profit e guidata da artist_, è uno spazio creativo dall’apertura internazionale che coinvolge artist_ e cittadin_, mettendo a disposizione spazi e infrastrutture dedicate alla danza. Incapsula varie tipologie di attività avviate da Jazmín Chiodi e Alexandre Iseli, da quando nel 2008 hanno fondato Tipperary Dance Platform. La nuova identità della piattaforma, con la direzione di Alexandre Iseli, avvolge questa esperienza decennale restando fedele ai suoi valori fondativi di cura, comprensione, integrità, tenacia e magnanimità.
